This was our last day filming bands at Bath Road Studios. Our band for the day was Ninook, including one member from our CMP group Jake. I have to say I was very impressed with the band and found myself humming the song for the rest of the week!
On this shoot I took on the role as a camera operator. For the first two takes I just shot a standard wide shot of the while band as a safety shot. For the remaining shots I hand held the camera and shot some extreme close ups of the band but focusing on the lead singer. This was the best part of filming, I was able to swoop around the lead singer and get some really effective close ups of him strumming his guitar and singing into the microphone. I also got some low angle shots where I literally lay on the floor beside him pointing the camera up through his guitar onto his face. I am really looking forward to seeing how these shots have come out, but I am confident there are some good 'money shots'!
This was the end of our time at Bath Road Studios, however, having the ability to book out the space myself and using it for my own projects is something I most definitely will do!
We also used this band to shoot some blue screen for our Chromakey assignment.
