FEB 20TH - BATH ROAD STUDIO BAND SHOOTS - RHUBARB

For one of the course module assessments, a music video/package has to be made. Fortunately I do not do this module, but I wanted to come along to the shoot to help out and develop my own personal skills.

In the first half of the day we were working with the band Rhubarb. I took on the role as director/producer for this band. This involved chatting to the band, keeping them in the loop about what was happening, what time we would want them to perform and when we were conducting the interview. I also made sure they felt happy and comfortable, found out what style and look they wanted so we could arrange appropriate lighting for them.

When we everybody was ready for them, I called them in and took them to the studio (they were in the make-up room). I directed what sort of shots I wanted from the four camera set ups (Tripod, jib, dolly and hand held) and I feel everybody performed their roles well. We did about four or five takes, as I took notes on each.

Everything went more or less to plan, with a few delays as other studios were doing weather and news broadcasts and we had to be quiet.
